In order to realize top dollar for your business,
there are several things that must be done:

1. A professional sales package, including a video presentation, must be assembled showing the recast actual cash flow that will be available to a buyer to pay debt, management, finance growth and retire the principal investment. We also show market conditions for your particular industry, the prices public companies in the same field are selling for and the general industry growth rate.
2. It must be presented to several qualified buyers who will make offers.
3. This must be done in a manner that does not alert your competitors, customers, employees and business associates.
4. In order to have qualified buyers available, the broker you choose should have advertised in national publications, international publications, trade journals and on the Internet for a number of years and have a database of well over 5,000 prospective buyers. (We have more than twice that amount.)
5. Many of our buyers are publicly traded companies which either wish to gain market share and/or skilled professionals through acquisitions.
6. Solving the inevitable roadblocks that arise when negotiating the contract needs all the skill and experience that you can find. This is where a large percentage of sales fall apart, usually for no good reason. We have the advantage of having been involved in thousands of contract negotiations and know how to work with your legal counsel and the buyer's to resolve issues that so often kill the sale.
7. Few buyers are willing to pay top dollar and want to put up 100% of the funds needed to make the purchase. To get you cash at closing, we provide buyers with sources of financing for all or part of the purchase price and assist them to obtain lines of credit for emergency working capital.
8. While negotiating the contract, we put you in contact with expert tax specialists who can often structure a zero tax transaction, even on an asset sale. This service alone is often worth several times our low commission rate.
